Specialized institution for elderly people, retired, based on served time and age. There are 176 bedrooms, 96 of them single and 40 with 2 beds, 10 offices, storage rooms, Interest's rooms, work shops, heath gymnastic hall. The capacity of the Home is 202 beds, as at the moment there are 202 accommodated elderly people.

2. Common description of the social services currently provided in the territory of Yambol’s municipality.
- HOME SOCIAL PATRONAGE - provider – Municipality of Yambol
The social service “Home Social Patronage” provides care and supports elderly people with disabilities; its objective is to deliver food, maintain the resident’s hygiene; personal hygiene; to provide public services – to make purchases of food, paying of the utilities bills, administrative services; assistance and accompanying during walks, cultural events, trips to health institutions etc.
To a Home Social Services are entitled people over 65 years of age; elderly people and children with different stage and type of disabilities.
- Social service “ Personal Assistant”, under the National programme “Assistants of people with disabilities” – provider Department of Social Support - Yambol
Through the “Personal assistant” service is provided labour to unemployed people, receiving monthly welfare under Article 9 of the Regulations for the Law for Social Support or persons, corresponding to the conditions for this type of support. Such are people, engaged daily into care for their disabled relatives. This way is guaranteed quality care for the elders and the children in their home environment and better life standard for the people engaged in labour and their families.
- Social service “ HOME ASSISTANT”, under the National Programme "From welfare to employment" - provider Municipality of Yambol
The service “Home assistant” is for the single elderly people in the town. The service provides residence hygiene maintenance, shopping, purchasing of medications, food products and necessaries, cooking and feeding (if necessary), help in the daily service of the consumers, accompanying to places for public utility services and help for small maintenance debugging.
- DAILY CENTER FOR SOCIALIZATION OF CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES “CARITAS” – provider Caritas - Bulgaria
The Center provides daily and part-time services for children and young people from 3 up to 24 years of age, with physical and mental disabilities.
Most common beneficiaries of the service are the ones with diagnosis “Children cerebral paralysis”, Down’s Syndrome and with delays in the physical and mental development.
Daily care in DCSCD Caritas - Yambol is provided to 15 children and young people; the Center’s capacity for part-time care is for another 75 clients.
- CENTER FOR SOCIAL REHABILITATION AND INTEGRATION FOR PEOPLE WITH SIGHT DIFFICULTIES - provider – Municipality of Yambol
The purpose of the Center’s activity is to provide social services though individual and group activities, by the means of psycho- social and professional consultations; information and trainings for achieving adequate social rehabilitation and integration of people with congenital blindness, people with recently sight damages and their relatives, providing them daily care.
- CENTER FOR SOCIAL PREVENTION AND CONSULTATION OFFICE
The activities in the Center are concentrated towards preventive and social work with children at risk and their families.
It is a link between the institutions, engaged into prevention of the anti-social child behavior and child protection. Team of specialists – psychologist, psychiatrist, lawyer, speech therapist, social worker and public supervisor, provides to the children and the families professional consultations regarding problems with the behavior, child abuse, addictions, hyperactivity, attention disorders and difficulties during the process of education. The center also provide “Hot line for children".
- PREVENTIVE – INFORMATIONAL CENTER FOR AGAINST THE DRUG ADDICTIONS – provider Municipality of Yambol
The Center provides consultations for children, families and specialists, engaged into the processes of child raising and education, for decreasing the risk of addictions of children and young people, who has dropped out of the school educational system and family environment. Preventive and educational programs are developed for different target groups – students, parents, teachers, etc regarding the problems of the prevention of addictions. Preventive and educational seminars are being held with current subject- matter. The center is conducting coordination activities under national and local programs against the abuse of drugs and opiates.
In the center are conducting individual and group consultations and individual and group therapies.
Currently the activities in the center are being implemented by one specialist – psychologist.
- PENCIONER’S CLUBS - financed by Municipality of Yambol
At the territory of Yambol’s Municipality, in almost every part of the town are working 12 clubs, where the elderly population of Yambol could spend a lot of their free time in meetings and occupations according to their interests and to maintain social contacts. For about a year now, a lot of these premises have Gas and are equipped according to the needs of the elderly people.
