Until now the following activities of the project has been realized according to the Action Plan:
1.1. Forming of the management and executive team of the project.
Forming of an executive team for the implementation of the project; defined schedule for monthly meeting of the project team.
1.2. Selection of a team for the Center for Social Support
A selection has been made, according to the project requirements, to form the team of specialists, which will run the Center and provide the services in it.
The team of specialists has been formed; the responsibilities has been delegated to the specialists, working in the Center; qualified personnel provided for the Center.
1.3. Initial press-conference for the start of the project.
Press- conference was held for the start of the project. At the press-conference attended members of the project team and were invited representatives of The Regional office of Social Support- Yambol, Department of Social Support - Yambol, Regional health care center – Yambol, Regional Inspectorate of Education – Yambol, media. At the event were presented the main objectives, activities and the expected results of the project, the financing organization and informational newssheets with this information were spread.
With this activity we achieved public awareness and mostly the public from the target area through that means of mass and electronic media.
1.5. Personnel training
Trainings for the team, which will be providing the social services in the Center were conducted. The participants in the course passed few educational trainings for team work, leading of a case and following of a case, etc, and received materials in explicit, precise and systematic form.
2. REPAIR AND EQIPMENT OF THE CENTER
2.1. Repair and reconstruction of a part of an existing building
Building and installation work has been done - windows were changed, new flooring was placed, new consulting cabinets were created. Section rehabilitation; day care; kitchen office; manager’s office; Psychologist’s office; waiting room; toilets and bathrooms; storage room. Reconstruction of a building for supplying suitable conditions for conduction of a complex services for children and families.
2.2. EQIPMENT OF THE CENTER
After the reconstruction the offices were equpted: Section rehabilitation; day care; kitchen office; manager’s office; Psychologist’s office; waiting room; toilets and bathrooms; storage room. We created warmth and comfort for the clients of the Center with and the necessary equipment for the complete work of the team working there.
3. POPULARIZATION OF THE PROJECT AND THE CENTER FOR SOCIAL SUPPORT
3.1. Creating a website for the Center for Social Support for children and families at risk.
The website will contain data base for the services provided in the Center and systematized information about the implementation of the planned activities, participants in the project, achieved results, electronic forum, names and contacts of the people, working in the Center.
We received a data base with information regarding the social services in Center, which allows quick and easy access to information.
3.2. Advertising materials.
By the means of the made and printed advertising materials were achieved more flexible promoting of the new social community service.
3.3. Fold-out No.1000 in Bulgarian were printed.
A fold-out with information regarding the different type of services provided in the center and its location, names, contacts and the financing organization was printed out.
3.4. Information in the local newspapaers.
up to this moment there are two publications with the following subjects:

“Transparency during the implementation of the activities of the project for “OPENING OF A CENTER FOR SOCIAL SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES AT RISK ”
Third publication is about to be released, with subject: “Achieved results of the successfully implemented project “OPENING OF A CENTER FOR SOCIAL SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES AT RISK”.
3.5. Making and placing of informational sign of the Center.
We mad informational board, through which we inform the community about the project and its main objective, activities and financing organization; also introduced the participants in the project to the public.
3.6. Permanent photo sessions
From the beginning of the project to its end there will be boards with pictures, though which the people will be able to see the different stages of implementation of the project, the work of the executive team, pictures of the creation of the Center and the services, provided there. The boards are placed in the building of the Municipality of Yambol and Regional Council of the Bulgarian Red Cross - Yambol.
4. START OF THE SOCIAL SERVICES
4.1. Making of the complete documentation regarding the working of the Center.
Written rules for the use of the services in Center were created. It’s specified in them who can benefit from the services and what are the needed documents. Also all the necessary attendant documents under the Bulgarian Legislation were made, regarding the functioning of the Center and the providing of the services.
4.2. Providing of community based services at the Center for Social Support for children and families.
The following services are provided, separated in 2 sectons:
Section: Rehabilitation for children with physical disabilities
Medical rehabilitation
- physical therapy
- speech and visual therapy
- physiotherapy
- Social rehabilitation
- psychotherapy
- Socialization, sport activities and free time
Section: Social work with children and families at risk
Activity 1: Consultations and help for parents – social, legal, psychosocial and psychological consultation; training for parents to provide a better care for their children; work with parents, extended family and social work for re-establishment of the relationship parents - child/:
Providing of complexed services for children and families; helping parents in the process of raising their kids; prevention of the abandoning children; re-socialization of the families; training for parents, regarding their parental skills:
Activity 2: Child support
Provision of complex of services for child’s deinstitutionalization and re-integration, in the means of creating a suitable conditions for social work with children with families, that they can go back to; work with parents, relatives and children for reconstructing the relationship parent – child; support and consultations for both child and family after the period of re-integration.
Activity 3: Services for children, who dropped out of the educational system or in risk of that; prevention of child abuse
Provision of complex services for children, for creating suitable conditions for prevention and signing the children at school and deviant behavior – educational activities; entertainment activities; organizing of the free time and education; social activities for social reintegration; re-establishment of the relationship inside the family.
4.3. Organizing of the free time
The Center organizes birthday parties for the children, nameday’s parties and festivals for the kids. The team of the Center, together with the kids visits different cultural events – theatres, movies for children, circus etc.
